Colorado Students Create
EFAC DREAMS Cookbook

The students at Hulstrom Elementary School, Glennwood, Colorado have been participating in the EFAC Dreams program that focuses on curriculum for responsible global citizens. During their social studies unit the students connected with EFAC scholars through blogging, video messaging and letters. As the unit came to an end students created a cookbook of their favorite recipes from home and from students in Kenya.

The class held a party to sample the food and voted on their favorite dishes. Their reviews were incorporated into the cookbook along with the delicious recipes and is currently on sale at Hulstrom Elementary School. This fund raising project focused on building relevance and relationships for the 21st Century learner by integrating geography, civics and economics with an emphasis on technology, reading and writing.
